Day 3: Cooking Fez
After breakfast at your accommodations you'll be met and taken
shopping in the markets for the freshest and most exotic of spices and
foods. The vegetables are organic and come right out of the
surrounding villages. Cumin,
coriander, ginger, paprika, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, cloves,
turmeric, saffron, and other herbs and spices exotic and colorful are
found everywhere. Chicken, beef, goat, pidgin, fish, lamb, and even
camel are common and so fresh that they were probably walking around
only minutes earlier. I where you’ll learn under the expert guidance of
a native Fassi.
With the morning shopping done, you'll
head to your hostesses kitchen were under her direction you'll transform
the raw ingredients into traditional Moroccan dishes.
It's only fitting that a classical
Fez meal be prepared in the kitchen of a 200 year old mansion.
After working on lunch, you'll get to enjoy what you've created and the
rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy. (Breakfast, Lunch) |
