Day 3: Essaouira to Marrakech
 Breakfast at your accommodations and the morning
is yours to explore the city more. At 11:00 you'll check-out and
meet your driver who will drive you the 3 hours to Marrakech and
take you to your accommodations.
 The
rest of the afternoon and evening is yours and dinner is usually the first order of
business. For a great first adventure in
Marrakech, head to the Djemaa el-Fna (gem alf-NA), a square filled with
musicians, story tellers, snake charmers, dancers, and almost every variety of food to be
found in Morocco at a cost lower than you can imagine. Be forewarned
though, the Djemaa el-Fna is THE place for pickpockets and hustlers.
So leave your passports, cameras and other valuables safe in the hotel
and only bring enough money (that you won't miss if swiped) for food and
a little something for performers that you enjoy. (Breakfast) |
