Day 1: Depart the USA
American citizens do not need a
visa to enter Morocco, but do need a valid US passport (for another six
months past your US departure date).
Your
trip begins at
New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), "Where
America Greets the World." From whatever terminal you arrive at, hop on
the Kennedy Airport's new elevated light rail system "AirTrainJFK."
You'll be heading to Terminal One and the
Royal Air
Maroc ticket counter. Make every effort to be there for check-in at
least 3 hours before departure.
Once you have your boarding pass,
head to the TSA security checkpoint, unless you're hungry. The food
court at Terminal One is located on the second floor outside of
security. Security Do's and Don'ts seem to change almost daily, so
visit the TSA website
to check on the most recent procedures. Once past security you'll board
the national airline of Morocco, Royal Air Maroc, for your direct flight
from New York to Casablanca, which takes about 7 hours. (Dinner on the
flight) |
