Day 6: Metal Working

After breakfast at the hotel, your next day of learning starts with the metal workers.  Lamps, tea pots, trays of intricate designs and other items of the ordinary and extraordinary will come to life as  you transform lifeless metal into life and art sustaining items.

There's a feel and a sound to the metal workers souk that seems to move though you when you hear it.  The large pieces being hammered and formed provide the baseline, while the fine tapping of the chisels as they carve the metal sing the melody.  In an age where soulless machines produce uninteresting, uniform, and utilitarian items, it's electrifying to see that the hand of an artisan can make the everyday items into so much more.

After lunch you'll have a chance to do a little shopping and exploring on your last day in Fez.  (Breakfast, Lunch)
