Day 2 Includes

"Lovely experience"

It was a lovely experience for the four of us. All of us enjoyed the trip very much, in particular the riads both at Marrakech and Fez. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Sahara desert and the camel ride. All the guides are very good, friendly, punctual and helpful.

Day 2: Marrakech

RAKThe sun beings to rise as you're still in the air over the Atlantic, having breakfast, and approaching the coast of Africa.  It's not much longer now before the water gives way to land and you cross onto the coast of Morocco where you'll be landing at Casablanca's Airport Mohammed V.  It's a comparatively small airport by international standards and perpetually under construction, but easy to get around.  Follow the "Transit/Correspondence" signs for your flight to Marrakech.

It's a short hop to Marrakech where a driver will meet you upon your arrival at the Marrakech airport and transfer you to your accommodations.  The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore.  For a great first adventure in Marrakech, head to the Djemaa el-Fna (gem alf-NA), a square filled with musicians, story tellers, snake charmers, dancers, and almost every variety of food to be found in Morocco at a cost lower than you can imagine.  Be forewarned though, the Djemaa el-Fna is THE place for pickpockets and hustlers.  So leave your valuables in your room and only bring enough money (that you won't miss if swiped) for food and a little something for performers that you enjoy.
