Day 2: Arrive Morocco & Marrakech

You will be landing at Casablanca's Airport Mohammed V as the sun rises over Africa.  When you get to the terminal, follow the "Transit/Correspondence" signs up for your flight to Marrakech.

Upon your arrival in Marrakech you'll go through customs and immigration.  As soon as you exit the customs area you'll see your guide waiting for you holding a sign with your name and/or SaharaTrek.  You'll be driven to your accommodations and the rest of the day is yours  to enjoy and explore.  For dinner we always recommend the greatest adventure in Marrakech, the Djemaa el-Fna (gem alf-NA).  A square filled with musicians, story tellers, snake charmers, dancers, and almost every variety of food to be found in Morocco at a cost lower than you can imagine.  Be forewarned though, the Djemaa el-Fna is THE place for pickpockets and hustlers.  So leave your passports, cameras and other valuables safe in the hotel and only bring enough money (that you won't miss if swiped) for food and a little something for performers that you enjoy. (Breakfast).

Riads Itinerary uses:
Dar Pangal
An easy walk to the  Saadian Tombs and the Djemma el Fna.  Well decorated and air-conditioned with a view of the royal palace.

5-Star Itinerary uses:
Dar Les Cigognes
One of the 10 best places to stay in Morocco, 10 rooms and suites, restaurant, spa, terrace. (limited availability)
